Adventure travel is not just for daredevils. Actually, I find that soft adventure activities are perfect for traveling with teens. We cover family adventure activities including: ziplining in Costa Rica, white water rafting in Oregon, glacier hiking in Iceland, hiking in Yellowstone, horseback riding in Montana, rock climbing in Oregon, riding ATVs and buggies, kayaking, helicopter tours, snorkeling, snowshoeing, snow tubing, skiing, dog sledding, stand up paddle boarding, treetop adventure courses and much more.
Somehow, even as a family with one member afraid of heights, the other a bit of a chicken about rides and drops, and another who is cautiously adventurous, we still do our share of adventure travel. I’ve even tried fly boarding and gliding (I wasn’t a huge fan of either — but I tried!) So if you are looking for ideas for family adventure trips, check out some of our previous experiences and stay tuned for more adventures to come!
