It is almost spooky season! When the air turns crisp and the leaves turn vibrant shades of red, orange, and yellow, we all tend to think about pumpkins. And not just pumpkin spice! Whether you plan to carve one, paint one, or cook with one, you first need to find your perfect pumpkin. Sure, you can probably stop into any market during the fall season and grab one right there. But, where is the fun in that?
Instead, grab your family and friends and head out for a fun fall day at your local pumpkin patch. Pumpkin picking in RI is a fall must-do activity and the perfect pumpkin is awaiting your arrival. Here are some of the best pumpkin patches in Rhode Island.

Adams Farm, Cumberland

Adams Farm was founded in 1924 and is now in its fourth generation. Over the 20 plus years that I have lived in Cumberland, this farm continues to expand and offer more and more family-friendly entertainment. In addition to the pumpkin patch, there is now a large corn maze, adorable barnyard animals, a hay maze, corn hole, and even tulips in the spring!
On the weekends, you can enjoy hayrides, the corn maze, and even apple cider donuts (while they last!) If you live nearby, you may want to purchase a summer or fall season pass!
Adams Farm is located at 495 Sumner Brown Rd, Cumberland, RI 02864
Pezza Farm, Johnston
If you want to take a hayride in combination with a visit to a pumpkin path, Pezza Farm and Gardens is the place to go. The 30-minute hayride takes you through the fifty-acre farm with a pit stop in the small pumpkin patch to pick out your pumpkin. The hayride then visits a pasture where a group of cows surround the tractor where you will then be given corn to feed the cows.
The hayrides run on weekends from late September through late October from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Reservations are highly recommended. Otherwise they fill up on a first come, first served basis.
Pezza Farm is located at 2279 Plainfield Pike, Johnston RI 02919
Salisbury Farm, Johnston

Salisbury Farm has a fun corn maze, but you can also visit to pick a pumpkin and enjoy the fun fall activities. Pick-your-own pumpkins are open daily during the fall season.
During the fall, you will also find corn stalks, mums, straw, as well as yummy treats like candy, caramel and chocolate apples, popcorn, and cotton candy.
Salisbury Farm is located at 11 Peck Hill Road, Johnston RI 02919
Four Town Farm, Seekonk

Four Town Farm is such a gem that it is worth crossing state lines for. A popular favorite with locals, this farm has grown immensely over the last few years. This pumpkin patch is perfect for those with small children, no wonder it is a popular spot for school field trips!
The tractor will take you out to the field, drop you off at the start of a small corn maze, and pick you up after you have selected a pumpkin.
Four Town Farm is located at 90 George Street Seekonk, MA 02771

I once went to Pezza Farm. It was a very good experience
Being from Massachusetts, we’ve actually been to one or two of these on the list. It’s really a spot on guide in my opinion
This sounds so much fun! Will definitely visit soon. 🙂
Thanks for sharing this!
Amazing! when is the best time to go there? i really want to go, but its winter now, so im not sure if its the right time.
Summer and fall are really when Rhode Island shines!
Fun! I love to visit pumpkin patches with my kids, but they are often so crowded out here (and the pumpkins can be expensive!). the hayride & cows at Pezza farms sound really fun.
It can get crazy what they charge for pumpkins!
