Mother’s Day is just around the corner and I have some ideas for the mom in your life that loves to travel (because I happen to be one myself!) Of course, what she really wants it a trip, but if you can’t make that happen here are my top picks for Mother’s Day travel gifts under $50.
Of course, everyone is different and need gifts to match their personalities. Therefore, I’ve tried to include a wide variety of travel gift ideas for moms.

I’m a bit obsessed with travel tees myself. They are so fun to wear on trips, and sometimes I even get away with matching mother-daughter tees. Here are a few of my favorites:

Lonely Planet coloring books
When I first saw the Lonely Planet Ultimate Travel Coloring book last year I thought it was a brilliant idea! How relaxing it can be to color while dreaming about some of my favorite places or bucket list destinations.
While you are at it, you might as well include a nice set of colored pencils to go with it.
Turn your wanderlust into art. The whole family can get involved in completing these giant coloring posters and coloring rolls. Pick a dream destination like Italy, France, United Kingdom, Paris, United States, New York, and others. There is nothing I like more than looking around my home at reminders from our travels or dreams of where I would like to go next.
Travel Gifts for the Practical Mom
I have such a hard time sleeping on planes and in noisy hotel rooms. I sometimes try to sleep with my Bose noise cancelling earbuds, but they can hurt my ears when I sleep on my side. That is why I love the idea of these CozyPhones! I can use my phone’s white noise app or listen to music without the pain of sleeping with earbuds. They may not block as much noise, but it is better than nothing.
For years I’ve searched for the best toiletry kit. I like one that I can hang up, with separate compartments, so I’m not always digging around through one large bag. The one that I’ve been using takes up way too much room so I was thrilled to find one that lays flat and takes up less space in my suitcase.
I don’t know about you, but whenever I go through the airport I feel like I don’t have enough hands and nothing drives me crazy like my purse or carry-on bag slipping off my shoulder every two seconds. The Demi Hugger is a perfect solution. The wide band slides over the handles of your rolling carryon and wraps around your loose items and velcros closed to hold everything in place and voila, another hand is freed up for holding on to little ones.
Do you know someone who is always losing her stuff? Or maybe it is hard to keep track of all the kids’ stuff, especially when you are traveling and things don’t go in their normal places? Pixie turns your phone into a tracking device. Basically you pair each Pixie tag to your phone and then attach them to items most likely to get lost (passport, keys, wallet, etc.) Can’t find something, just open the app on your phone and it will show you the item’s location, beep as you get closer, and even use the camera to show you where to look. Pretty cool, right?
Travel Gifts for the Photog Mom
It can be find to get good family photos while on vacation. With the Gorilla Pod and a smart phone, you can set up this flexible tripod anywhere, set the phone timer, and strike a pose. I bought this recently and I love how you can wrap it around anywhere to also capture pictures where you don’t want to shake the camera.
Just Go Travel Studios will turn your vacation photos into family keepsakes by adding your name and the destination and turning it into a postcard or poster. We did this recently with photos from Iceland and Yellowstone. I can’t wait to frame them and hang them up!
